About

In search of charming villages and little towns with the atmosphere of a bygone era, I often find myself surrounded by gentle landscapes, beautiful gardens and nature. The English countryside is simply captivating.

It is difficult to ignore the omnipresent flowers and blooming trees, such as tulips, wisteria and magnolia at Pembroke College, the pink cherry blossoms at Wimpole, or the almond-scented, white-pink blossoms at the Botanic Garden in Cambridge

Along the Garden Path is a blog about everyday slow life and little trips in rhythm with the four seasons. Whenever I travel, I try to combine discovering new places with visits to gardens. I deliberately limit museums and monuments to those that truly move me, choosing instead to enjoy the colours, blooms and natural beauty and experience living like a local.

Along the way, I sometimes stop at cosy cafes, tearooms, local restaurants, or farm shops offering regional, organic produce - places that may be few, but are worth noticing, appreciating and recommending.
